Take a bird survey, listen to bats, learn about insects and native plants, discover Montana’s native fish, learn to live with carnivores! These are just a few of the activities planned for the Helena Master Naturalist course, June 25-29, at Montana WILD and surrounding outdoor sites.
Local natural resource experts teach this intensive, five-day course, which consists of 40 hours of instruction and outdoor investigations and Montana WILD classroom time.
This course is led by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and several partners, including the Montana Discovery Foundation, Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest, Montana Land Reliance, Montana Natural Heritage Program, Montana Native Plant Society and Helena Garden Club.
Registration is $140 (40 OPI credits are available). The Montana Master Naturalist certification is an additional $100 and goes to the Montana Naturalist History Center.
