INDIANA, Pa. – (Ammoland.Com) — The National Deer Alliance (NDA) has added additional staff capacity with the hiring of Torin Miller as its policy and outreach coordinator. He earned a B.S. and M.S. in wildlife and fisheries science and a J.D. in Environmental Law at The Pennsylvania State University. He has experience working at the intersection of conservation and natural resources law, policy, advocacy and education, and with engaging various stakeholders ranging from legislators to the public.
Miller was an intern for NDA for the last two years and has served in roles for QDMA, Illinois Natural History Survey, Penn State Center for Plasticulture, Penn State Law Center for Agricultural and Shale Law, and Imersys S.A. (France). He is also the co-founder and managing partner of Ruffed Outdoors, LLC.
“Wild deer conservation and our hunting heritage are two areas that are very important to me, and the opportunity to work on these issues on a daily basis is a career goal of mine,” said Miller. “I look forward to coordinating policy and outreach efforts for NDA and advancing important initiatives on behalf of deer, hunters, and the hunting industry.”
“NDA is continuing to grow and Torin is ideally qualified to help us advance our key initiatives aimed at ensuring a bright future for deer and deer hunting,” said Nick Pinizzotto, NDA president and CEO. “He is an avid hunter and conservationist and his passion for our work was obvious in his role as an intern over the last few years. We’re excited to have him on our team.”
