U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg, R-Tipton, is unopposed in his bid for re-election, however two Democrats are vying to oppose him in November — Gretchen Driskell of Saline and Steven Friday of Dexter.

1. My priority is to ensure that our neighbors can find good paying jobs close to home. Every day I talk with folks who are working hard, but struggling to pay their healthcare bills while putting food on the table.
We need to support small business by removing red tape, expand access and funding for training programs and protect our workers and unions to rebuild Michigan manufacturing.
Our towns and factories have been hurt by decades of bad trade deals and policies that put big corporations over people. In Congress, I’ll do what I did as mayor: Put Michigan families first.
