Well, it happened again. This time in Texas.

When it happened in the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s, we called it ethnic cleansing and called for an international tribunal, demanding punishment for the perpetrators.

When it happened in Afghanistan and Iraq in the 2000s, we called it terrorism and called for a troop surge, requireing a reduction in the random violence.

When someone in the U.S. opens fire randomly into a crowd or a school, we call it "exercising their 2nd amendment rights" and call the NRA to meekly ask if we may talk about ways to prevent this.

So far, we are willing to accept the answer is no.

What is wrong with us?
