Senator Marco Rubio does not want to infringe on the 2nd Amendment if gun proposals won’t prevent mass shootings. Good for him!

If he and his fellow lawmakers can come up with a policy that prevents mass shootings, wonderful! But until then, focus on this: A mentally disturbed person wants to commit mass murder. In his hands he wants a weapon that can tear humans apart in a matter of seconds. So, off to the gun store he goes.

“Sorry sir,” the sales clerk says, “the AR-15 you want and other similar weapons have been banned. You want to amuse yourself firing such a weapon, join the military.”

Would the above scenario prevent another mass murder? Probably not. Will it reduce the number of assault weapons available to lunatics out there? Yes, it will, and guess what, Dick’s Sporting Goods did something so simple, so unusual and so unselfish; it stopped selling these powerful war weapons.

Other companies are beginning to follow suit. Why? Because they care about our children.

Now, to help ease the process, Sen. Rubio and his NRA supporters have to stop telling people that banning assault weapons will infringe on the 2nd Amendment. It does not. Those who claim it does either shamelessly misinterpret the 2nd Amendment, or they really don’t know what they are talking about.

Ya basta!
