One month after the Supreme Court delivered its pro-gun ruling on NYSRPA v. Bruen, California Governor Gavin Newsome signs, yet another, gun control bill into law.

What sets this bill apart from the typical California-style gun control is the way this new law works.

Virtually, the law now allows people to sue anyone who “distributes illegal assault weapons, parts that can be used to build weapons, guns without serial numbers, or .50 caliber rifles.”

On top of that, any individual taking part in these activities would be awarded at least $10,000 in civil damages for each weapon, plus attorney fees.
