Gov. Eric Holcomb signed HEA 1296 into law todayIndianapolis, IN – Today, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb signed into law HEA 1296, Indiana’s Constitutional Carry bill, making Indiana the third state to pass Constitutional Carry legislation in 2022.“This is a massive victory. Indiana now becomes the 24th state to recognize Constitutional Carry as the law – rendering their concealed carry permit optional and restoring firearms freedom,” said Dudley Brown, President of the National Association for Gun Rights. “Millions of gun owners in Indiana have now been freed from the bonds of having to pay a tax to exercise their God-given right to bear arms – something we’re fighting for all over the country.”The National Association for Gun Rights and state affiliate Hoosier Gun Rights have spent years lobbying the Indiana Legislature to pass Constitutional Carry into law. Alabama and neighboring state Ohio recently passed their own versions of Constitutional Carry this month as well.“I am proud to have represented law-abiding Hoosiers before the legislature, lobbying and fighting around the clock to get HEA 1296 passed and signed into law,” said Will Fite, Director of Legislation for Hoosier Gun Rights. “No matter the opposition we faced, we never gave up hope that 2022 would be the year that we got Constitutional Carry passed and put on the governor’s desk for his signature. We’re beyond thrilled to see it happen.”Indiana’s Constitutional Carry law goes into effect on July 1, 2022.The National Association for Gun Rights is dedicated to
