Savage Arms introduced their new MSR 15 and MSR 10 Competition rifles this week. Savage Arms partnered with PROOF Research to craft an advanced barrel that is built specifically for each rifle. Both rifles have a unique ported muzzle brake allows the shooter to tune the recoil impulse to stabilize the muzzle for faster, more accurate follow-up shots. These two rifles are a significant addition to the Modern Savage Rifle family of rifles. The speed, accuracy and customization needed to win competitions are built into evert aspect of the MSR 10 and MSR 15. The MSR 10 comes with a two-stage trigger and a Houge pistol grip. It also features a Magpul CTR buttstock and a non-reciprocating side charging handle. Further customization follows with the gas block, which can be adjusted for optimal cycling of the full range of bullet weights, as well as for use with a suppressor. The gas block is also wrapped in a custom handguard and topped with an integral Picatinny rail. The MSR 10 comes with 5R rifling and a Nickel-boron bolt carrier. The MSR 10 rifle is chambered in 308 Win. and comes with a 20-round magazine capacity.

The MSR 15 Competition comes with many of the same features as the MSR 10, including the custom-length gas block that can be adjusted for optimal cycling of the full range of bullet weights, as well as for use with a suppressor.
