Today is April 19th and this marks the 243rd anniversary of “The shot heard round the world” when the tyrannical British government marched to Lexington, Massachusetts and Concord, Massachusetts in order to confiscate arms from the colonists. Yes, this was about gun confiscation and defending a God-given right to defend oneself against tyranny. The American militia defeated one of the most organized, well-trained, and most powerful armies in the world.
This event is one of the reasons that founding father Patrick Henry insisted on a Bill of Rights and a 2nd Amendment. Sad to say that citizens of Massachusetts today have had their tyranny preventing arms rights taken away and their 2nd Amendment rights eviscerated without a peep from our federal government.
We should celebrate this holiday along with Bill of Rights Day on December 15th just as we celebrate Independence Day on July 4th! Take a look at some of the links below:
