NEWTOWN, Conn.—The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, has recognized Ammunition Depot[1] for its extensive support of the organization’s range programs[2].
For the past two years, Ammunition Depot has served as the ammunition-fulfillment storage center for NSSF’s First Shots[3]® program. In this capacity, Ammunition Depot stores, processes orders and ships all ammunition to First Shots host ranges. First Shots is an introductory program that helps ranges develop new customer bases while welcoming people into the world of shooting sports. The outlined program model covers firearms safety, basic handling and range time where participants get one-on-one instruction.
Prior to supporting First Shots, Ammunition Depot sponsored an NSSF Lead Management & OSHA Compliance Workshop in 2012. During the rimfire ammo shortage, they also played a key role in helping to grow and sustain participation within the Rimfire Challenge program when administered by NSSF. Their support towards this program provided host ranges with a dependable outlet for where to get rimfire ammo for their events and included a very generous financial donation of more than $40,000.
“Every event or program NSSF hosts has its corporate sponsors, but there are many other industry members who contribute to our successes in both large and small ways and mostly behind the scenes. Ammunition Depot is one of those companies,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Retailer and Range Business Development. “Hats off to the entire Ammunition Depot team for their ongoing support towards NSSF initiatives that help grow participation while serving our clients with a genuine passion and remarkable level of customer service.”
“Ammunition Depot is proud to be working with the NSSF to help teach firearms safety and introduce new people to the world of shooting sports, ”
