Event Expert Colleen Leonard Joins NSSF
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that Colleen Leonard has joined the organization’s staff as Manager, Conferences & Events, working in the Newtown, Connecticut, office.
Leonard brings more than a decade of event management expertise to the job, with previous stints in professional sports and entertainment arenas. In her role with NSSF, she coordinates a variety of behind-the-scenes functions for the organization’s growing roster of summits, conferences and the annual SHOT Show. She is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University.
“Demand for our educational and industry forums has increased dramatically in just the past few years,” said Deb Kenney, NSSF Vice President, Human Resources & Administration. “We’re very pleased to have Colleen on board and working with us to provide events that exceed our members’ expectations.”
In addition to January’s Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show, NSSF hosts and co-hosts a number of industry events throughout the year that are open to both NSSF members and non-members. These include the annual Industry Summit, Import/Export Conference and Firearms Industry Compliance Conference. The next event on NSSF’s 2018 schedule is the CMO Summit[1] for industry marketing, public relations and advertising professionals, taking place Sept. 18-19 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
