COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 8, 2019)

For most shotgun competitors, the journey to the 2020 Olympic Games began years ago at shooting ranges all across the United States, but the road to Tokyo officially begins this week in Kerrville, Texas, as the first stage of the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Shotgun gets underway.

Unofficial training began Saturday and the official competition starts Tuesday and runs through Sept. 21 at the Hill Country Shooting Sports Center, an official United  States Olympic Training Site. The match is the first part of the selection process for the 2020 Olympic Team and will determine the front runners for stage 2 of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials that will be held Feb. 25-March 8, 2020, in Tucson, Ariz.

Wednesday, September 11 – Trap Day 2 (50)

Thursday, September 12 – Trap Day 3 (75) + Senior and International Finals

Friday, September 13 – Trap Day 4 (50) + Open and Junior Men/Women Finals

Saturday, September 14 – Trap Day 5 – Mixed Team (75) + Final

Wednesday, September 18 – Skeet Day 1 (75)

Thursday, September 19 – Skeet Day 2 (50)

Friday, September 20 – Skeet Day 3 (75) + Senior and International Finals

Saturday, September 21 – Skeet Day 4 (50) + Open and Junior Men/Women Finals
