Westport, Conn. (Ammoland.com) – Shell Shock Technologies, LLC., an early-stage technology and manufacturing company focused on developing innovative case technologies for the ammunition industry, is pleased to announce its sponsored shooter, John Vlieger, won High Overall and First Place in the Open Division at the Doc Welt 9th Annual Memorial Match, held June 26, 2021, in Clearwater, Florida. Vlieger competed against 145 competitors to finish with 805.8760 match points and a time of 101.70.
“The Doc Welt match is held in memory of Gary “Doc” Welt, and to honor his service to our country. Physically challenging courses are the norm for this obstacle-heavy match, and I’m happy to bring home the win. Even if my physical fitness is in question, my gear is not. My competition pistol fed with Shell Shock Technologies NAS3 cases functioned flawlessly through the sand, heat, and mud. Some victories mean more than others, and this match was a shining example of one that matters,” commented Vlieger.
Vlieger has fired over 100,000 rounds of ammunition with Shell Shock Technologies’ NAS3 cases since becoming sponsored in 2017 and plans to continue using it. He can be seen competing next at the 2021 Berry’s Area 1 Championship, to be held Aug. 4, 2021, by the Paul Bunyan Rifle & Sportsmen’s Club in Puyallup, Washington.
