U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- Team GLOCK started out the season with sweeping wins at the 2020 Florida Open USPSA tournament in Frostproof, Florida. All three members of Team GLOCK took away wins at the match and set the bar for the remainder of the shooting season.
As the first major competition of the year, Florida Open brings competitors from not only around the country but also globally to start their season off with a variety of challenging obstacles designed by Match Director Shannon Smith. “Florida Open is always one of the hardest matches of the year,” said Team Captain Shane Coley. “This match always consists of technical stages, odd starting positions, long shots and a lot of moving targets with technical activators. No matter how much we train in preparation for it, Shannon always finds a way to expose our weaknesses.” Coley won High Overall in Limited Division shooting his GLOCK 24.
Marking just one year since the birth of Viscussi’s second daughter and her first full season back to competitive shooting after the holidays, Viscussi walks away with a win. “Shooting Florida Open after taking some time off always makes me a little nervous,” said Viscussi. “After SHOT Show, I took as much time as I could to focus on accuracy because this match is always so challenging. During the match, I focused on my training, and it paid off.” Viscussi competed with the GLOCK 35 and took home the High Lady title win in Limited Division.
