COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (June 11, 2019)
USA Shooting has announced the promotions of two key staff members including Brent McPherson and Stacy Weiland as the organization continues to strive for its 2020 vision and align for continued progression in athlete, coach and resource development.
Having started with the organization in late 2018, McPherson has made a significant organizational difference as range manager and SafeSport lead, prompting his new assignment as the Director of Coaching and Youth Programs. That position was previously held by Weiland, who was hired in June 2018. Weiland has been named Director of Licensing and Strategic Partnerships. The organizational realignment provides these two business leaders the opportunity to flourish for our athletes in positions they’ve shown they can excel in previously.
“Brent and Stacy offer a unique set of skills, professionalism, and experience that will have a profound effect on our organization,” said USA Shooting CEO Keith Enlow. “Making these moves allows our team to place qualified leaders into roles more suited to their talents and interests to support the organization. Both Brent and Stacy have proven that they are intent on helping us raise the flag and I can’t wait to see how they’ll move our organization forward.”
McPherson’s leadership and passion for the shooting sports is evident at the USA Shooting range everyday in his interactions with athletes, coaches and staff. He’ll now focus that energy on a much more instrumental role in helping secure the grassroots development and coaching progression for America’s Shooting Team.
McPherson’s passion for USA Shooting’s mission and the athletes runs deep, as demonstrated in his most recent position as well as his dedicated volunteer role serving as coach and administrator for one of the nation’s most elite youth shooting clubs,
