COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (October 29, 2018)
USA Shooting and the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) are teaming up for a sporting clays fundraiser titled TURKEYS FOR TOKYO. The event on Wednesday, February 13 will kick off the 43rd annual NWTF Convention and Sport Show in Nashville, Tennessee.
With the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in sight, USA Shooting and NWTF have come together for a cause to help support both organization’s missions and hope to make TURKEYS FOR TOKYO the can’t miss event of the week.
“Turkeys for Tokyo combines this country’s passions of turkeys, hunting, habitat and American pride,” said Keith Enlow, USA Shooting CEO. “So, it only makes sense to come together in a way to support the NWTF and America’s Shooting Team. USA Shooting’s 2020 vision of supporting our athletes in need can only be realized by the involvement, generosity and backing of organizations like NWTF and we couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity.”
“The NWTF has had a long and rich relationship with USA Shooting,” said Heath Davis, NWTF Foundation Board chairman. “Collaborating on this effort should not only appeal to NWTF members, turkey hunters and those who cherish our conservation and hunting heritage but also to those of us who are proud to show our patriotic support of Team USA in the 2020 Olympics.”
The event will take place at the Nashville Gun Club[1] and will feature 100 clays thrown from 12 different stations. Top prizes will be awarded to best teams and individuals. The event will conclude with a special lunch, raffle and auction before NWTF participants make their way to the Early Bird Social at the Wildhorse Saloon in downtown Nashville.
