Lenseigne takes Overall Cowgirl title for a 4th time.
ONTARIO, California – -(AmmoLand.com)- Bianchi, a brand of The Safariland Group, today announced its Bianchi Pro team member, Kenda Lenseigne, and her horse Sparky, won multiple competitions at the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association’s (CMSA) Wrangler World Championship, October 17 – 20 in Amarillo, Texas. Lenseigne scored higher than all 339 other contestants – both men and women – to take the CMSA Overall World Champion Cowgirl title with a winning time of 68.1 seconds after five combined stages. This is Lenseigne’s 4th CMSA World Championship win.
In addition to the Overall title, Lenseigne and Sparky set a new world record during the eliminator finals with a winning time of 13.69. The pair also turned in a mind-blowing time of 9.8 seconds on stage number four of the main match – helping them edge ahead of the rest of their competitors to take the Overall win.
“We came to the 2018 World Finals to defend our 2017 Overall title and did just that,” Lenseigne said. “This is the 4th CMSA Overall World Champion Cowgirl title I have won. Two were on my now retired horse, Justin, in 2009 and 2014, and two were on my horse Sparky in 2017 and 2018.”
Lenseigne competed with her Kenda Lenseigne Signature Series Smokechaser Holster and Belt in Cognac and the new “lightning” finish. Designed specifically for mounted shooting, the Smokechaser rig setup makes drawing and changing guns faster, and also helps any competitor clear the saddle horn.
“Kenda and her mare Sparky finished the 2018 season with a clean sweep at the CMSA World Championship winning Overall World Championship Cowgirl, the Eliminator Championship and the Double Down Finals,” said Scott Carnahan, vice president for Safariland
